 Singapore Airline Career

Singapore Airlines believes in helping all employees achieve their full potential. Throughout your career with us, you will be offered an extensive array of learning and development opportunities to enhance your professional and personal competencies. For those who wish to pursue higher educational qualifications, you can also apply for sponsorship under our Continuing Education Sponsorship Scheme.

With our job rotation scheme, you can look forward to job postings within your field of specialisation or across functional areas. After some years of experience, you may also apply, if you are so inclined, to work overseas under the Trainee Station Manager or the Overseas Manager Scheme.

As one of the Airline's General Managers overseas, for example, you will be responsible for all aspects of our business interests at the overseas office, including human resources, management, finance, government relations, sales and marketing.

The SIA core values form the foundation on which our people work and conduct ourselves in everything we do.

We are looking for individuals who embody and are aligned to these core values to join us and take SIA to greater height

The SIA SPIRIT Competency Framework defines the set of key competencies that encapsulates SIA’s Leadership Philosophy.  Potential candidates will be assessed on how well they meet these competencies as part of the selection process.

We encourage staff to help make a difference in the communities that they serve. In the lead-up to Singapore’s 50th birthday in August 2015, the Airline organised a series of fund-raising events including the SIA Charity Gala Dinner and the SIA Charity Run.

With the support of about 500 staff volunteers, a total of $2.5 million was raised for the Community Chest of Singapore, a non-profit organisation that raises funds for many charities in Singapore. This was matched dollar-for-dollar by the Singapore Government, lifting total funds raised to about $5 million.

More than 300 Community Chest beneficiaries, many of whom had never flown before, were also treated to a special flight on the Airbus A380, the world’s largest commercial aircraft.

In July 2015, the Airline also opened the doors of its training centre to the public for the first time for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at how its pilots and cabin crew are trained. All proceeds earned from the SIA Open House activities were donated to the Community Chest of Singapore.

Employees and their eligible dependents get to enjoy travel benefits including a free air ticket once a year to any destination on the Singapore Airlines’ network, discounted travel at other times as well as attractive leave, medical benefits, and profit-sharing bonuses.
