In your new role as Maintenance Controller you will implement Policy and Procedures in particular create and/or contribute to the drafting of Simulator Maintenance procedures (e.g. Risk Assessment Procedure for working on electrical systems). In addition to CASA requirement, you will also ensure that all activities are completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and recommended practices.
You will perform activities associated with corrective and preventive maintenance, crash support, overhaul, repair, and modify electronics and computer hardware, software support, mechanical tasks, electrical tasks, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
It is imperative that you also provide ongoing technical expertise to find solutions to long term simulator maintenance issues as well as provide maintenance advice on multiple simulation and aircraft systems, as well as hands on maintenance support.
You will be responsible for coordination of the maintenance activity throughout the BNE port to ensure maintenance servicing and reliability of the assets is not compromised.
You’ll have –
- Advanced Diploma of Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- Comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems from a Flight Crew (pilots) point of view, and from an Aircraft Maintenance Engineers point of view: Airbus A330 and A380, Boeing B737, B767, B787, Bombardier Dash 300, and Q400 series
- Experience in technical purchasing or provisioning of maintenance services to support operations
- Good understanding of planning, purchasing and inventory control principles
- Demonstrated understanding of Group procurement and finance policies
- Ability to delegate and manage effectively
- Experience in developing relationships between commercial firms
- Ability to think across multiple dimensions and link to financial outcome
- Proven history of integrating maintenance, operational, safety and cost outcomes to enhance efficiency
- Ability to work under time and volume pressures to deliver financial outcomes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong attention to detail and an operational focus.
